Orthodontic discomfort can happen from time to time, especially after adjustments or while wearing braces, aligners, or orthodontic appliances. Most situations are not serious and can be managed at home until your visit.

Leave it attached, cover it with wax if uncomfortable, and book a visit.
Poking Wire
Gently push the wire down with a pencil eraser, then cover it with wax or cotton.

Do not pull it; reposition gently if possible, use wax, and contact us.
Ulcers or Sores
Apply wax, rinse with warm salt water, and use Orajel if needed.
