Once your teeth are aligned, the orthodontist uses special instruments to remove your braces and clean your teeth. Afterward, the orthodontist prescribes an appliance called retainer. It can be fixed or removable. The retention phase lasts for a minimum 2 years.
Please follow these instructions to keep your teeth straight. Your final result depends on your retainers, so follow through with the hard work you’ve put in so far.
 

• Wear your retainers full time, until the orthodontist instructs otherwise.
• Take your retainers out when eating... and always put retainers in their case!
• Brush your retainer and clean it using a denture cleaner.then rinse it in cold water.
• When retainers are not in your mouth they should ALWAYS be in a retainer case.
• If retainers are lost or broken call us immediately.
• If you have any questions or concerns about your retainers, or your retainers need adjusting, call us.
• Always bring your retainers to your appointments.
• Retainers are fragile and costly to replace
• Remove retainers when participating in sports.
